For Community Care networks and referral partners

Stop referrals from bouncing for “missing” documents.

Whether you send referrals or receive them, the problem is the same: the packet goes out, the other side can’t find what they need, and it comes back. InfoNotData checks each packet against the receiving service’s checklist and cites every value to its page and line.

Projected Proposed single-site VHA pilot: 30–40% fewer consults returned for missing information.

  • Checks both sides of the referral
  • No generated text
  • Missing items flagged before the packet moves

01 / Where referrals break

The packet was complete. Nobody could prove it.

Referrals between networks, health systems, and specialists run on faxed documents. When the receiving side can’t find what it needs, the referral stalls, whether or not the document was there.

Sent back

Returned for missing information

The receiving service can’t find the required item in a 150-page fax, so the referral comes back to you.

Records returned as one PDF

Documentation flows back as a single scanned file. Someone has to find the result that closes the loop.

Again

Rework on both sides

Staff re-fax, re-call, and re-check the same packet. Every round trip delays the patient.

Unclear

Different lists, same packet

Each service line defines “complete” differently, and the requirements live in people’s heads.

A complete packet only helps if the other side can see it’s complete.

03 / How it works for referrals

Check the packet before it moves.

The same four steps InfoNotData runs everywhere, applied at both ends of the referral.

  1. Route

Every page of the packet is sorted Easy, Medium, or Hard in milliseconds, before any expensive model runs.

No full-price pass on cover sheets.
  2. Extract

Only the values the receiving service asks for are pulled out. No summaries, no generated text.

    Facts, not a 311-page PDF.
  3. Check

Found values are matched to the receiving service’s requirements, and gaps are flagged before the packet is sent or accepted.

    Fewer referrals come back.
  4. Cite

Every value links to its page and line, so both sides can verify the same fact in one click.

    One shared source of truth.
Routing illustration · inbound fax queue
Easy · auto-processed 7,214 pages in this batch

High-confidence pages are processed automatically on the fast path.

Medium · extraction-only 1,906 pages in this batch

Pages that need a closer read get a targeted extraction pass. Values only, each with its source.

Hard · human review 312 pages in this batch

Low-confidence pages, like handwriting or a poor-quality fax, go to a person. Never a guess.

Check and cite

Know it’s complete before you hit send.

The receiving service defines what “complete” means. InfoNotData checks every packet against that list, shows where each value came from, and says plainly what’s missing.

04 / In practice

Built for both ends of the referral.

Sending side

Catch the gap before the fax goes out

Run the outbound packet against the receiving service’s checklist. If the imaging report isn’t there, you find out now, not when the referral comes back.

Receiving side

Accept or return with the source attached

Coordinators see each required value with its page and line, so an accept or return decision takes a click to verify, not an hour to search.

What InfoNotData doesn’t do

  • Replace your fax server or fax numbers, or require changes to your EHR
  • Write summaries or any generated text about patients
  • Guess at a value on a low-confidence page
  • Hide what it couldn’t find

Filter before you spend

Size it for your own queue.

Put in your volume and your rates. Every assumption is on the screen, so you can take the math to your CFO.

InfoNotData’s router decides page by page which pass each page needs. The share you set here is your estimate, not a promise from us.

Questions from referral teams

What referral managers ask first.

Does InfoNotData work for both sending and receiving referrals?

Yes. The same check runs on an outbound packet before it’s sent and on an inbound packet before it’s accepted. Both sides see each value with its page and line.

Who decides what a complete referral packet contains?

The receiving service. Its intake requirements are configured as a checklist, and InfoNotData checks every packet against that list.

What happens when something is missing?

The item is flagged as not found. InfoNotData never fills the gap with a guess, so you can request the document before the referral moves.

Does it integrate with our EHR?

Not directly, today. It works on faxed documents as they arrive, so nothing in your EHR has to change.

Does it replace our fax numbers?

No. It works with the fax servers and gateways you already use.

06 / Next step

Check a referral packet with an engineer.

A 30-minute walkthrough. We’ll run a synthetic or de-identified referral packet against a service checklist and show you what gets flagged, and why.

What happens next

  1. An engineer replies to set a time that works for your team.
  2. A 30-minute walkthrough on a synthetic or de-identified packet.
  3. If it fits, we scope a pilot on your own queue.

An engineer, not a sales script. We’ll show you what it doesn’t do, too.
